Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com reports Kolb is headed to Arizona in exchange for a second-round pick and 2009 Pro Bowl cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

That’s a ton to give up for an unproven quarterback, but the Cardinals were only getting started betting their future on Kolb. Caplan reports Kolb will sign a five-year, $63 million contract with $20 million guaranteed.

(Kolb can head to Arizona now, but league rules indicate he can’t start practicing until the league year starts on August 4.)

The guaranteed money is less than Kolb was reportedly asking for, but still a lot for a quarterback with seven uneven career starts. Houston made a similar deal for Matt Schaub which worked out, although they didn’t give up a solid young starting cornerback.

What a gamble. The move will define the rest of the Ken Whisenhunt/Rod Graves era in Arizona.

They were absolutely desperate for a quarterback solution in the desert, and they acted like it.

But today we signed Clifford Lee and locked him up for 5 years.   Not only is this great news for Philly but it’s also nice a shot at the Yankees who offered him 30 million more.  This shows that spitting on a pitcher’s wife isn’t a good way to recruit them.  With the addition of Lee it easily makes our pitching rotation the best in baseball today, and maybe in MLB history. Halladay, Cliff Lee, Oswalt and Hamels. Boom. While were stacking our teams, Washington DC is scooping up our sloppy seconds and insanely overpaying them. I liked Werth but the contract he got was Jeter money. There was no reason for the Phillies to pay that kind of money for our 4th or 5th best player. I also don’t get the contract extension that McNabb got. He got benched because the head coach didn’t have faith in the guy then he comes back after the bye with a huge contract. Well played McNabb. Very impressive. I’ll leave ya with a video and don’t forget to get your shirts for Christmas. We plan to reprint the Vicks once this cold front leaves the area.

The best show on TV is Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Lay up. And one of the best episodes is when they play in a flip cup tournament (best is the Gail the Snail Episode) So we took the teams Alma Mater, switched it up with our QBs name and Boom. Gold

Last week was a little rough but Monday night game saved me as that is the one I bet heavily on.

This weeks in order:

1. Falcons -3 over Browns
I like the Falcons over the Browns this week. The Browns screwed me last week and I just hope Hillis doesn’t play. Other then that I just think the Falcons have a better team. Good facts, I know.

2. Bears vs. Carolina over 33
I like the over in this game as I have never seen a over/under so low. I know both teams have scrub QBs and a lot of time will be taken off the clock with the Panthers rushing the ball every play (Steve Smith out). Carolinas number 1 receiver is ? But this could be a game where the defenses have a 1 or 2 picks 6s which equals 14 points right there. I also like the Bears to win straight up in this game.

3. Saints -7 over Arizona.
Arizona sucks + Rookie QB = Blow Out.

Those are my 3.

His quote “”I was in Los Angeles, and the team was playing in San Diego , but I didn’t know it. I had taken LSD….. I thought it was an off-day, that’s how come I had it in me. I took the LSD at noon. At 1pm, his girlfriend and trip partner looked at the paper and said, “Dock, you’re pitching today!”

We have been spoiled recently with having our team play late in the season these past few years. The pitching match-ups are the following:
Wednesday Oct. 6th (5:07): Halladay vs. Volquez
Friday (6:07) Oct. 8th Oswalt vs. Arroyo
Sunday Oct 10th (7:07) Hamels vs. Cueto

This is a best of 5 game series and could go fast. The Reds only chance is to hope their starters go long enough that they can bring in their left handers (they have 4 in the bullpen). They have this one foreigner that throws 105 mph. If they put him in after Arroyo whose speed stops out around 89 it could be a little trouble.

MVP of series: Werth (just guessing)
